When should I expect my gallery?

I am also very excited about your gallery. I promise! During months May-November it’s my busiest time. I always try to have every gallery out as soon as possible without rushing the quality of your gallery. Please give me at least 12 weeks to complete it from the date of your photoshoot; weddings especially, these usually take 12-16 weeks to perfect. I have a wedding list and a regular photoshoot (less than 100 images) list and do them both at the same time with two computers so that regular photoshoots are not waiting on up to 1000 photo wedding albums. 

I promise you will get your photos AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. :)

(please do not to ask for updates in-between this time frame. I am working very hard to get everyone's photo out.)

When should I reach out to you?

During business hours, please! M-F from 8am-5pm (SD time) is best. I try to get to these every night or right away. Weekends I am shooting weddings or spending time with my family. I may reply but it's not a realistic expectation. Thank you!

Can I have the regular color images as well as black and white?

I use my own creativity to create work for you. I usually always give the color and black & white but if I don’t then there’s usually a reason! Maybe the light in that area contrasted so that black and white was the best option for color to represent what I want my work to reflect. Maybe it is creativity that I only wanted to represent that image that way. After a gallery is complete it does take work to go back and find that image from the unedited gallery and edit it in color. Please understand that during my busy season you may have to wait for any additional edits like this until I have an opening in my editing queue and there is an additional editing fee for tine spent outside of your package. Trust your photographers eye!

For regular photoshoots I can do this but each photo counts as a separate photo because it is a lot of work and time!

Can you photoshop a chair or a piece of hair in a photo?

Yes! I can absolutely try my best to photoshop something additional out but I charge fees for this if it wasn’t discussed before hand or not apart of your original editing time. My style is consistent with my portfolio and I am not going to make changes to that. Please look through my galleries before booking. I am willing to try within reason. Feel free to ask but send me a screenshot of what you would like edited; within reason. I can’t edit facial features or body types/make you look different but I am glad to help with small things that might irritate you like a piece of hair, not for an entire gallery though! Make sure you bring a brush or style your hair in a way that you would like to be photographed.

How long do you spend editing galleries?

EVERY situation is different. This includes lighting and contrast and even the colors or clothes you are wearing. I hand edit every photo in your album so typically for a 20 photo album I spend 15-20 hours. Imagine a 1,000 photo album such as a wedding. It is a LOT of time. 

Can I purchase more photos than the investment guide has?

Absolutely. I do have certain situations such as a wedding where you get every image that I feel is appropriate to include in your album, your investment guide tells you the baseline of what to expect.

For a regular photoshoot I always offer more photos at the next tier package that has the amount of photos you’re asking for. Or if it exceeds the investment guide amounts then for $10/image after the largest package. I also love my clients so I do offer discounts so that it’s within reason. 

What should I wear?

Great question! I have a what to wear guide! Ask me about this and I can send you a link. 

For the shyer clients try to stay neutral-no bright colors or patterns like flannel or palm trees typically. Please no watches, sunglasses, men wearing opened toe shoes, or bra straps showing. I like to say that if you book me you should dress up! Bring a brush or anything you need to touch up while at your shoot. 

What do we do during big family photos?

Please have an appointed person who knows everyone’s names to help me guide the group. I usually ask a mom, grandma, or aunt! They know best and know what the family will want for variations of people and groups. I will help guide/suggest posing of course still. I won't accept lists myself as it is not within reason to expect me to appoint a certain person or pose in each image but give your appointed person a list and they can help out with this.

Can I send you my inspiration?

YES! Do this! I love knowing the vibe you’re going for and we can use it during your session to get the poses you want. I’m not shy and willing to try new things!
